Freezer Paper T-Shirt Painting Tutorial

Items I use

Reynolds Freezer Paper

Tulip Soft Fabric Paint

Paper Transfer Tape – This is the one I purchased and used but its out of stockΒ – and I’ve heard this one is good too.

Sponge Brush

Paint Pallet

Foam Board or cardboard to insert inside T-Shirt

  1. I was wondering if the Cricut transfer paper could be used? When you iron it, doesn’t the “sticky” come off on the t-shirt?

    1. I would think as long as it is made of paper it might not. I would not suggest using plastic transfer tape to move your design over. I have yet to have an issue with the paper transfer tape leaving sticky behind but I also remove it as soon as I know the freezer paper is adhered well.

    1. You should wash these inside out to help protect the image. My son has washed his several times right side out and the image has gotten a bit of a worn look to them. However I have to say this shirt, in particular is holding up very well.
