Earlier this year a trend started in my area of painting rocks and hiding them all over in public places such as parks, outside stores & restaurants and even theme parks. Groups for every area started popping up like crazy. I quickly realized this trend was starting to sweep the nation.
My Mom & my youngest son quickly joined in with me to paint and start hiding some as well. It is so much fun to find other peoples rocks and see their lovely artwork and then rehide them elsewhere.
If this is a trend you want to get into, there are some materials you need to get started. As well as some ideas to spark creativity.
Acrylic Paints – GREAT PRICE!! $7.98 for a 12 pack at Home Depot!! Order Online and pickup in store <3
Clear Sealer – Order online and Pickup in store.
One last tip!! Paint your rock with your base color and then sketch your idea with pencil first. Once you know what you want then start painting. It will help you end up with clearer mini pieces of art instead of looking like a 5 yr old painted them LOL.
